ICI successfully delivered the core and shell construction for UrbanStreet Group, marking a major milestone in bringing this exciting retail destination to life.

Completed in May, this phase lays the foundation for what will soon become a premier shopping experience in the northwest suburbs. In celebration of our 15th year working with New Lenox School District 122, we want to thank them for their partnership and highlight some of the work we are doing within their district:

With school letting out for summer break, most school districts are gearing up to start their capital improvement projects after months of planning and coordination. At New Lenox, however, we’re proud to say that work is already 45% complete on a nearly $8M, full mechanical replacement of Tyler School!

Through extensive preconstruction planning, ICI implemented a strategy that allowed for above-ceiling mechanical, electrical and structural infrastructure work to be installed after-hours, on breaks and weekends between February and May, all while keeping 100% of instructional space operational.

This level of foresight allows us to minimize the "summer crunch" that so many school districts and construction partners know all too well. The ICI team works hard to set every project—and every partner—up for success.

ICSC 2026 is officially in the books—and what a fantastic event it was!

More than 300 guests joined us poolside at the Aria for an afternoon filled with meaningful connections, engaging conversations, and plenty of fun. It was a pleasure catching up with clients and colleagues, while also making new connections across the industry.

We’re proud to see our team members following our core value of “Create Experts” and sharing their knowledge beyond the workplace!

Recently, one of our team members had the opportunity to return to his alma mater, the University of Arizona’s College of Architecture, as a guest reviewer for one of the University’s Urban Housing Studio courses. His feedback centered around community spaces, circulation and environmental strategies. It was especially rewarding that his industry experience and lessons learned at ICI over the course of the past year shaped his feedback for these emerging architects and builders.
