It is with very heavy hearts that we must announce that the 55th annual Log House Arts Festival, originally scheduled for this weekend, must be cancelled. The West Hills Fire Department is keeping multiple municipalities in a state of emergency as ongoing efforts are still being made to clear downed trees and restore the many fallen power lines. There is currently no estimate on when Penelec will be able to get around to fixing the downed lines as many of them are tangled around trees and tree branches. The Fire Chief wants to keep traffic in and around Westmont to a minimum while repairs are being made throughout the weekend.
To our vendors who travel from near and far, we are incredibly sorry. We would love nothing more than to have your wonderful crafts offered for sale across our property, but that simply is not in the cards for us this weekend. Indoor vendors who have already set up will be given time tomorrow (Sept. 5) from 10 AM to 2 PM to pack up and load out your wares. (Please be advised that there will most likely not be any power at the Arts Center when you arrive, so please plan accordingly.)
