The original broom-finished driveway was cracked and ready for replacement. The homeowner wanted something more upscale without sacrificing durability, so we recommended gray exposed aggregate paired with a dark gray Roman Slate stamped border.

The exposed aggregate provides a durable, timeless finish, while the stamped border frames the driveway and gives the entire home a more polished, custom look.

If you’re not using D-One… are you even sealing? 👀

Not all concrete sealers are created equal, and the sealer is definitely not where we’re looking to save a few bucks.

For our decorative concrete, we use Deco-Crete D-One.

D-One is a low-sheen, non-yellowing acrylic + penetrating sealer in one. It enhances the natural color of stamped and exposed aggregate concrete without giving it that overly wet, plastic-looking finish.

More importantly, it provides serious protection against water intrusion, de-icing salts, saltwater pool systems, oil, rust, leaves and other common stains.

We spray it for proper coverage and immediately backroll to help create an even, consistent finish.

The concrete gets all the attention, but the products and process used to protect it matter just as much.
