The largest glass panel with Orozco Homes to date took a lot of planning from start to finish to consider how it’s be best supported and secured. We didn’t need to open up the bathroom window and bring it in with a crane so lots of wins!

Rounding up all the selections and materials for a remodel takes a lot of time and brain space. We ease the load for our clients and manage all selections. We keep track of deliveries, sort selections and inspect every item.

What stays and goes on demo day? It’s always important to communicate clearly with your Demo team and clients. A few minutes with a sharpie and a roll of painters is always worth it.

Demo day always comes with a little excitement… and sometimes a few surprises.

As we opened up the first two bathrooms of this 3-bath remodel, we discovered some major structural framing hidden inside the soffits. What we originally hoped to remove is officially here to stay.

Of course, it was a little disappointing but this is exactly what remodeling is about. Once walls and ceilings are opened, you uncover the real story of the home.

The good news? The homeowner, designer and our team immediately went into problem-solving mode. Instead of fighting the structure, we’re now brainstorming creative ways to incorporate these soffits into the final design so the space still feels intentional, clean and beautiful.

That’s remodeling.
You can plan carefully, have drawings and prepare as much as possible… but older homes always hold a few surprises behind the drywall. The key is having the right team that can adapt, communicate clearly and pivot with a solution-focused mindset.

Stay tuned because these bathrooms are going to be babes.

I’m thankful a realtor in the area reached out and invited us to be a part of this. This condo is getting a refresh for resale so we’re focusing on the basics. Most days aren’t the glamorous before-and-after photos. Most of the time, I’m living right here in the messy middle: present proposals, coordinating trades, paying for materials, communicating with clients, delivering supplies to different job sites, checking progress, solving problems and keeping everything moving forward.

Not glamorous. Just the reality behind building and renovating spaces the right way.

The finished project gets the attention, but the process is where the real work happens.
