Sometimes it’s the little things that make the BIG difference. 🙌

The previous owners put an indoor fan on the porch… and let’s just say it wasn’t built for the great outdoors. 😅

Warped, a bird’s nest, and well past its prime.

Now? A sleek black outdoor-rated fan that looks right at home. 🖤

It’s a small upgrade, but it makes the whole porch feel a little more finished.

Some transformations are more than meets the eye.

This shower may look like a beautiful tile finish now, but getting it here meant going all the way back to the beginning.

The existing waterproofing had to be completely removed and redone before we could move forward. Once we had a proper waterproofing system in place, we finished the shower with tile and the custom details you see here.

Because when you’re working in someone’s home, “good enough” isn’t good enough.

We don’t just cover problems.

We fix them.

A year ago, we took a pretty big leap.

We left corporate America behind and stepped into something much closer to Colin’s roots… blue collar work, building with our hands, serving people, and carrying on a family legacy.

After Colin’s grandfather passed, we were given the opportunity to continue what he started. Bringing that legacy with us to Tennessee was never something we took lightly.

And then we got to work.

One estimate became another.

One project became another.

Homes were transformed.

Clients became friends.

And somewhere along the way, Marsh Wind Woods became so much bigger than we imagined it could be.

In one year, we’ve surpassed every goal we set for ourselves.

We’ve taken on projects we once wondered if we’d be ready for.

We’ve built relationships with incredible homeowners and investors.

We’ve grown our team. And we’ve learned a whole lot along the way.

But the number of jobs, estimates, projects or dollars isn’t really what we’re most proud of.

It’s the way we got here.

Showing up when we said we would.

Doing the job right when nobody would know the difference.

Standing behind our work.

Treating every home like it matters because it does.

Some projects are more than just checking a box on a punch list.

These homeowners had been waiting two + years for someone to finish their basement staircase after their previous builder left several projects incomplete.

When we stepped in, the goal wasn’t just to finish the stairs.

It was to finish them right.

This custom staircase is being built from solid oak, with every piece carefully cut, fitted, and finished on site.

One board alone required 17 individual cuts to create the finished piece you see here.

And this staircase is only part of the story.

We’re incorporating reclaimed barnwood, live-edge trim, and a custom-built bookcase into the pony wall with a live-edge slab on top to make the whole thing feel more like a piece of furniture than a staircase.

We’re still in the middle of it, so these are definitely rough, in-progress photos. But you can already start to see where this one is headed.

This is the kind of work we love.

The details matter.

The craftsmanship matters.

And after waiting two years, these homeowners deserve to have it finished the way it should have been from the start.

Marsh Wind Woods is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced tradesman to join our residential renovation team.

This is a skilled position for someone who can confidently step onto a job, work independently, manage their time, communicate well, and take pride in the finished product.

Our work is varied and that’s exactly what we love about it.

We’re looking for someone with experience in areas such as:

• Carpentry & framing
• Doors & windows
• Trim & flooring
• Decks & porches
• Fixtures & installations
• General repairs & maintenance
• And the many unexpected things that come with working on real homes

But skill isn’t the only thing we’re looking for.

Integrity matters.
Reliability matters.
How you treat our clients, their homes and your coworkers matters.

You must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and be able to work throughout our East Tennessee service area, including Monroe, Knox, McMinn, Loudon and surrounding counties.
