Worked with this week to knock out several concrete projects in our queue and keep the schedule moving, including this backyard upgrade. We gave this customer a clean, functional space for summer by installing a new concrete pad while incorporating dedicated areas for their grill and deck box.

To finish the project, we corrected the surrounding grade and redirected the gutter downspout away from the new concrete to help manage drainage. As always, the home and deck were protected during the pour, the yard was fully restored, and equipment access left no trace behind.

Wrapped up this patio extension last week just in time for summer. Clean finish and built the right way from the ground up. 🔥

✔️ Protective plastic placed over the existing patio and home during the pour
✔️ Loose sandy soil excavated and replaced with compacted crushed concrete base
✔️ Rebar dowels installed to properly tie the new slab into the existing pad
✔️ Concrete chute and tools washed out over plastic — not in the customer’s yard
✔️ Final grade and surrounding area restored clean upon completion

Big transformations start with the groundwork.

This week we squeezed this site project in between multiple demo and concrete jobs — removing an existing 15’x20’ pad and footings, importing 20+ tons of base material, establishing grade, and setting corners for a future post-frame structure.

A lot more goes into a “clean slate” than most people realize. Stand by as this one comes together. 👊
