WCSWMD would like to extend our best wishes to our county educators, support staff, and students as they enter into the new school season this week!
--It's starting off with a bang for sure!⚡📚

We would also like to remind adults of Wabash County that we will be hosting our Fall Session of the Master Recycler Course!
--This course is a FREE education program designed for adults!

The Curriculum:
• Our operations & Mission
• Industry effects on local & national levels
• How to reduce waste & identify “problem items”
• Local partnerships (featuring guest speakers)

The Commitment: (Thursdays)
• Four, in-person, 1-hr classes (4:30-5:30pm)
• October 8th, 22nd, and 29th
• November 5th & 12th (Graduation Ceremony) 🎓

Now that you panicked because I reminded you we are getting close to 2027- I didn't tell you how many days til Christmas! Don't forget to enter your hours, not only does it keep track for you but can go back and see each year in your history of the MG program.

Do you realize that it is August- school starts tomorrow here in Wabash and life is settling in- what does that mean for you! It means you have 3 more months to get all your Master Gardner hours in. Here are your requirements! Need help finding places to volunteer- send us a message!

Volunteer for a minimum of 12 hours each year and report that activity to the EMG county coordinator.
Complete and report a minimum of six hours of training by participating in one or more of the following options:
State, regional, national, or international Master Gardener conferences.
County-sponsored advanced training sessions.
Any other programs approved by the EMG county coordinator.

Anyone else had luck with peppers, these are my first ones of the season. They seem to start growing, get to golf ball size and fall off.

Mara Rose & I spent time with Jamie, Courtney & Geoff Schortgen with the Miami Jr.Master Gardeners man it was a great Wednesday! We ID'd weeds, these kids were quick at it. I couldn't believe how much they knew. More fun had, we flew drones. AND our fearless leaders Birthday is today!!!! We love all things gardens and Geoff!
