Those of you who just had hail come through are about to get slammed with advertisements and salesmen from roofing companies wanting to replace your roof.

Obviously, we are biased to Jacob's Roofing - Waco for roofing needs. But even if you don't use us, please use someone LOCAL. There are several big companies from Austin and Dallas/Ft. Worth who chase storms around the state. If your roof develops a leak a year from now, they will not be so ready to drive here to take care of small repairs (which should be covered in the general warranty of any install done by a local company).

Are you curious what hail damage looks like? It's actually visible to anyone who knows what to look for... a large pock mark on a shingle.

These were on a roof in Stone Creek Ranch in McGregor, but it really depends on the age/condition of your shingles. Jacob looked at another house on this same street, and the impact resistant shingles had resisted the impact! Just because your neighbor is getting a new roof doesn't mean that you need one, and vice versa.

During an inspection, Jacob points out some of the deficiencies that he often sees as an inspector on recently installed roofs in the Central Texas/Waco area. These deficiencies could have been avoided if the roofing install had been done without cutting corners. As a result, the shingles will wear faster and the roof covering's longevity has been compromised.
