🚧 Spring Road Weight Restrictions

Spring load restrictions are in effect starting March 3. The City of Waconia follows MnDOT’s schedule for seasonal weight limits.

Large trucks must reduce loads to 5 tons per axle on City roads. The City does not issue overweight permits during this period.

Exceptions apply for emergency vehicles, school buses, utility repairs, and designated nine-ton routes.

***SNOW ALERT***
City plows are planning to be back out about 2am. Waconia Landscaping plows are planning to start select commercial lots at midnight and move toward residentials once completed and city plows have cleaned the streets. Wind and conditions may alter schedules.

🚨 Blizzard Warning – City of Waconia 🚨
A blizzard warning is in effect beginning 9:00 a.m. Sunday, December 28.

❄️ Snow Removal Operations Plan (subject to change depending on weather conditions)
• Sunday morning: Crews will focus on collector streets and parking lots.
• Sunday afternoon: A single pass in and out on all streets, finishing again on collector streets.
• Early Monday morning (around 2:00 a.m.): After snowfall ends, crews will return to complete full curb-to-curb plowing on all streets and parking lots.

🚗 Important Reminders
• Please stay off the roads if possible during the storm.
• Give snow plows plenty of room to operate safely.
• If conditions become unsafe, snow plow crews will be temporarily pulled off the roads until it is safe to resume operations.
