Did you know that Lampion is a member of the International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA)? Through this 100-year-old organization, we’ve earned certifications and accreditations that allow us to install traffic lighting and signals to the highest standards of public safety. In fact, it’s one of our specialties!

RANDOM LED FACTS

Did you know that outdoor LED lighting attracts fewer bugs than incandescent lamps and CFLs? It’s true! Older incandescent lamps and CFL lights emit ultraviolet and infrared radiation, which attract bugs and causes them to congregate at light fixtures. LEDs don’t emit this radiation, which means fewer bugs to cause you grief! Don’t call an exterminator—call Lampion instead. We’ll give bugs a reason to stop frequenting your parking lot.

Get ready to deck those halls—it’s National Christmas Lights Day! If you haven’t put your lights up yet, today’s the day to do it. Just make sure you’re following safe electrical standards.

Make sure all outdoor lights are weatherproof (look for the UL seal), plugged into a grounded outlet. Indoors, keep lights off the ground so they don’t become a trip hazard, and connect no more than three strings together! Stay safe and let your home sparkle with the magic of the holidays!

PAST PROJECTS (WAREHOUSE IN BRUNSWICK)

Warehouse LED retrofits are some of our favorite projects—the bigger the better! We’re particularly proud of the work we did with one of our Energy Services partners, Community Energy Advisors, at a warehouse in Brunswick.

This project included new LED high-bay lighting to replace old-fashioned 8-foot T12 strip fixtures, to dramatically improve lighting efficiency. Our work was part of a full remodel, to modernize the space for a new owner and liven up the ambiance for its new occupant.
