Reminding everyone that we have a meeting tonight at 7pm. It would be great to see everyone there and see some new faces. We would love to talk with anyone interested in how they can help their community. There is an assignment for everyone in the fire service. Even if you have fears, we can find different ways you can help on the department. Our department is located at the intersection of Marlboro St and Riverton Rd in Wagram. Come join us.

There are positions for everyone within the fire service. You don't always have to fight fire, there are many important roles within the department.

North Scotland's training topic tonight was CPR. We hold an annual class to ensure our members are perficient in performing high quality CPR. A big thanks to our instructor Robert Sampson who did a great job.

It is no secret that VOLUNTEER fire departments are fading away. Small departments that do not have funding to hire 'paid firefighters' depend on volunteers within the community. North Scotland Fire Department is always accepting new volunteers. We meet every 2nd and 4th Monday night of the month. Meetings start at 7:00pm. Feel free to come by and meet our team, as well as, fill out an application. We look forward to seeing you!

At 1146 today, NSFR responded automatic aid to the City of Laurinburg FD station 1 for a reported structure fire with a LP tank in danger.

On arrival a large outbuilding was found fully involved with a exposure on the Bravo side involed, a two story turn of the century residential exposure on the Delta side, and a LP tank with discoloration already occurring from severe heat exposure.

Hand lines were immediately deployed to all 3 exposures. Additional tankers were requested by Sta 1 command for rural water supply. On arrival of sufficient water, the source building on fire was quickly extinguished with minor damage to exposure 1 on the Bravo side. The LP tank was cooled and no damage was done to the residence.

E61, T62, E21, T22, T52, Queheel T1512, F2

NSFR had 6 Volunteer Firefighters (people working for FREE). 2 hour call with 12 man hours.
