We are looking to add 1 to 2 new asphalt crew members to our full time paving crew. Applicants must have experience working outside for long periods of time and comfortable performing physical labor. Any applicants will skill and experience in asphalt work will be HIGHLY considered.

Company Info: We are a full service asphalt and paving contractor who has been in business in Wake Forest, NC since 1949. The majority of our projects consist of: asphalt paving, asphalt patching, grading, gravel laying, and other relevant task. Candidate should have experience in asphalt paving or other relevant outdoor labor jobs (ex. construction, landscaping). Candidate must be flexible in performing different kinds of work and duties. We are a small business, and all employees perform a variety of tasks in order to get jobs completed. Pay goes up based on experience and ability.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.00 - $29.00 per hour

Highlights of Position:
- opportunity to operate, and learn to operate quality, heavy machinery
- Completing first class work that you and the whole team can take pride in
- All work is local , out of town work is extremely rare.
- Plenty of available hours in Spring through Fall with overtime pay after 40 hrs.

Job Duties include:
- Shoveling asphalt
- raking and shoveling gravel and aggregate
- loading and moving heavy equipment
- heavy equipment operation
- driving crew truck and compelting routine inspections of truck and equipment
Candidate must be:
- reliable in communication and being to work on time
-Motivated!
- have reliable transportation
-Possess drivers license with clean driving record
-Able to work productively with others as a team
- able to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods of time
- flexible in work hours. Some days run long on projects and some days we are rained out and unable to work. Some weekend work may be required.

Additional Helpful skills, but not required
-CDL license (dump truck experience)
- experience operating heavy machinery (skid-steer, excavator, roller)
-experience running paving screed or paving machine
- mechanic experience or skills

While it’s not going to win any beauty contest, crack filling (sealing) is an effective and important part of proper asphalt maintenance. Sealing of cracks prevents water intrusion 💦 and further weakening and breakdown of the pavement 🤕 . It is extremely effective in extending pavement life, and it is also extremely cost effective 💰 🏦 , so spending a little can save A LOT (literally 😉) in the long term.
