Much to my surprise, my hydrangea got a reserve champion ribbon at our county (state) fair! So much of a surprise that I didn't even take a picture before entering it 😔 I always enter this plant (little lime) but I guess I picked a particularly perfect specimen this year 😁

It's fair week! I went incredibly basic for the floral arrangement this year (with a 12 week old infant can you blame me 🤪) and got a 2nd place ribbon. Def needed some more greens. The theme is "Celebrate Our Ocean State - work in your color choices with a nautical theme." It gives Newport/ Westerly vibes. I'm just glad I got to use this planter that I didn't return in time last year 😆 hydrangeas from my garden!

What, you don't get up at sunrise to cut hydrangeas for your floral arrangement for the county fair?? 🤣 I'm extra excited this year because my childhood bestie moved back to Rhode Island and gave me a big French door refrigerator last week. I have so much space for cut flowers!!! 🤣😬

Better late... than never? Considering fair entries are due tomorrow it's definitely a little late for those pepper plants 😅 but at least he'll still get to experience his carolina reapers 🥵🔥 and yes we know there's a safety protocol!!! This is being done under strict supervision and honestly my job would've been a little easier if the weeds ended up consuming his plants 🤭

My in-laws got me this adorable delft bunny on their recent trip to the Netherlands. I think it looks like Norbert the giant chin with his giant ears 🤗 they were so sweet to bring me souvenirs from my parents' home city!
