Would you build your kitchen around the island?
We did, but the island was only the beginning. 🔥
This Accokeek kitchen and dining-room expansion was designed as one connected space for cooking, gathering, entertaining, and everyday family life.
At the center is a custom industrial-modern island topped in Dekton Trilium, complete with waterfall ends, an integrated prep sink, microwave drawer, deep storage, and an extended breakfast bar.
The cooking wall features a 48-inch Thermador range with double ovens, a full-height Dekton Laurent backsplash, brass pot filler, and stainless ventilation hood.
A stained faux beam anchors the globe pendant lights, while under-cabinet and toe-kick LED lighting gives the entire kitchen a warm evening glow.
Across the room, a dedicated coffee and beverage station adds a deep-blue tile feature wall, floating industrial shelves, beverage storage, and another layer of function without crowding the primary cooking zone.
This was not a cabinet swap.
It was a complete kitchen and dining transformation planned around:
🔹 Better flow
🔹 Defined work zones
🔹 More preparation space
🔹 Appliance placement
🔹 Everyday storage
🔹 Family gatherings and entertaining
Which feature would you choose first?
🔥 The Dekton waterfall island
🔥 The Laurent cooking wall and pot filler
🔥 The prep sink and microwave drawer
🔥 The coffee and beverage station
