We became 100% employee-owned, and here's what changed ๐Ÿ’™

Every framer on site? Owner.
Every project manager? Owner.
Every carpenter making decisions? Owner โœจ

That means:

- Personal investment in every project's success
- Long-term thinking over short-term profits
- Pride that shows up in the work
- Communication that actually happens
- Standards that don't slip when no one's watching ๐Ÿ’ช

Still guided by Honor, Accountability, Teamwork, and Safety.
Still framing Wisconsin. Still here for the long haul ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Rough carpentry framing isn't one-size-fits-all ๐Ÿ—๏ธ

Restaurants need speed and precision for tight opening deadlines. Churches require respect for existing structures and community impact. Schools demand safety-first protocols and schedule flexibility around students. Office buildouts need coordination with occupied spaces โœจ

45+ years of structural framing and finish carpentry across Wisconsin's commercial construction. On schedule, on budget, every project ๐Ÿ’ช

We partner with general contractors who need reliable subcontractors - crews who show up, communicate clearly, and deliver quality work without the drama ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Commercial, multi-family, residential - same standards, same team, same commitment ๐Ÿ

The most exciting part about employee ownership? The automatic buy-in. The open communication. Feeling valued and seen. Those things are huge ๐Ÿ’™
But here's the personal truth: this could largely impact retirement. It could be a great supplement to a 401K and personal savings โœจ
"I look forward to doing everything I can to push the company to be successful. Because all of this is based on the value of the company - and the group of companies"
And that puts the onus on us. Making this something viable through the time we're done working. Building value today that pays off tomorrow ๐Ÿ’ช
It's not just about today's paycheck. It's about building something that lasts - for the company, for the team, for the future ๐Ÿ—๏ธ
That's employee ownership: vested interest in every sense of the word ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Tyvek wrap. OSB sheathing. Crews coordinating. A new Cousinโ€™s Subs taking shape ๐Ÿ—๏ธ

This is commercial construction in real time - the stage where buildings go from plans to physical walls, where engineering meets ex*****on, where the vision starts becoming reality โœจ
Rain, snow, or shine, the work continues. Prefab panels going up. Exterior walls getting wrapped. Every piece placed with precision ๐Ÿ’ช

45+ years of framing expertise. Same standards on every project. From foundation to finish ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Employee ownership changed the language on site ๐Ÿ—๏ธ

On a construction site, nearly everything becomes a joke. But now the jokes have truth weaved in: "As one of the owners, I think we should have this tool" - said with a laugh, but also with actual ownership โœจ

It's funny and lighthearted. But it's also real ๐Ÿ’™

That shift creates an atmosphere where everybody feels more visible, more heard. Better communication. More open sharing of ideas. More investment in the little things that make work better ๐Ÿ’ช

"Yes, there are financial benefits. But honestly, those little intricate differences in what your common day is like? That's been a huge bonus"

When everyone owns it, everyone owns it - even in the jokes

Employee ownership changes the math ๐Ÿ’™

It's not just a feeling of ownership - it's automatic buy-in. Everyone feels vested in what's going on. Everyone has skin in the game โœจ

"Some people naturally push hard and take pride in what they do just because of their personality. Not everybody has that. Employee ownership helps push people in that direction" ๐Ÿ—๏ธ
When your paycheck depends on the company's success AND you own a piece of that success? The motivation shifts. The effort changes. The pride deepens ๐Ÿ’ช

That's the employee ownership difference. Not just ownership on paper - ownership in practice, every single day ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

A great foreman doesn't just manage a crew โ€” they translate the big picture into something every person on site can act on. That's how projects stay on schedule and on budget. ๐Ÿ—๏ธ

03/07/2026

The old way: Crane a bundle of floor trusses up to the building. Guys on ladders or baker scaffolding scooting each truss down, spacing them out, nailing them off. Hands on every truss. Gang plates everywhere. Gang plates are sharp. Cuts and lacerations ๐Ÿ—๏ธ
The new way: Pre-assemble an entire unit's worth of trusses on the ground. Gang them together. Put the strong backs in to hold the section. Crane the whole unit up already spread, already on dimension โœจ
Now all you do is hammer the ends flush and nail it down. No handling every individual truss. Fewer safety issues. A little faster. A lot cleaner ๐Ÿ’ช
Sometimes innovation isn't about fancy technology - it's about rethinking how you've always done something and finding a safer, smarter way โšก
What process have you improved by rethinking the basics? Tell us below ๐Ÿ‘‡

Before becoming a foreman, he had no idea how much of the job wasn't about framing ๐Ÿ—๏ธ
Managing guys. Managing personalities. Who pairs well together. Who's strong at what. Who needs training - but how do you train them without slowing down the job? โšก
"Everything is a balancing act. Manpower decisions. Ordering materials. Everyone wants the best tools, but you also want to keep jobs on budget"
Then there's the interpersonal logistics. Getting along with your crew - but not so much that you're a buddy instead of a boss. Leadership. Communication. Navigating personalities that can't always flex, so you learn to work with them, shift, pivot ๐Ÿ’ช
"I think people would be surprised to know communication and leadership are such big parts of leading a framing crew. The tools and equipment? Those are straightforward. The people part? That's where the real skill is" โœจ
