Hello it’s me, Michael your friendly plumber with a quick reminder!

With the onset of colder weather, it’s time to check your outside hose faucet:)

Make sure the faucet is fully closed. You can also choose to have it drained down for winter. The pipes can freeze, break and cause a flood or a problem in the Spring!

Did you drop something valuable down the drain??? In 35 years, I have had to retrieve some very SPECIAL items which have fallen into the drain! If this happens to you, don’t move anything, and give me a shout right away. Most of the time we can retrieve what you lost if you leave things alone and call us immediately:)

Just checking in on you weekenders and vacationers! Did you know hundreds of gallons of water can be wasted from a single leaky faucet??? Check your faucets before you leave home for a few days:)

Has you family been rough on your faucets??? I have found wear and tear on some faucets lately , and surmise that the damages may have come from lots of little hands:)

Make sure your sump pump is working properly. With the seasonal rains surrounding us, you don’t want to find it is not working after the storm:)

Tip of the week: Check your water heater for any signs of leakage. With the sudden changes in temperature lately, we have been replacing several units! Best to change it before you have a flood.

Tip of the week: Check your outside hose spigot before you are ready to plant your flowers. Oftentimes, they are damaged over the winter with extreme changes in temperature, and when you turn it on, you find it is leaking.
