The sweet smell of lilac bushes this time of year is almost as iconic as small town baseball games and backyard barbecues 🤩

Their large fragrant flowers ,that range from deep purple to white, have made them a spring favorite for both people and pollinators 🦋

Although lilacs are relatively hardy, proper planting and care techniques are important to promote healthy roots and growth. They thrive best in plenty of direct sunlight, well-drained soil, and proper air circulation ☀️

Since lilacs begin growing the next year’s buds almost immediately after they finish blooming, it’s important to prune them in late spring once the old flowers have died.

Summer is nearly here which means that our landscaping beds are full of beautiful blooms and foliage.🌸🌸

One popular bush that we often work with this time of year is the Viburnum. 🌳

Viburnum is a relatively hardy and forgiving bush that produces clusters of white flowers in the spring/summer and colorful berries in the fall.

It does well in both partial or full sunlight, and requires minimal watering . Although they are considered pest resistant, Viburnum bushes can still be susceptible to pests and mildew . Overall, its vibrant color and forgiving nature makes it a wonderful addition to flowerbeds . 📲 330-473-2958

🌸 From the greenhouse to the ground - spring is looking a little differently around here this year.🌸

🪴Over the past several years, our crews have planted thousands of beautiful annuals - everything from residential displays to the intricate and popular quilt gardens.

🪴In previous years, we would pre-order the thousands of young annuals during the winter , then make multiple trips to the vendor every spring to pick up the daily orders, while struggling to keep the plants properly watered at our shop.

🪴This year we decided to make a change . After dreaming about it for a while, our company finally had the opportunity to purchase our own greenhouse and grow the annuals ourselves . From building the greenhouse to caring for the young starts , our crews have brought a new level of dedication to spring planting.
