There’s a strange kind of peace I’ve found in concrete—in the weight of it, the permanence,the way it starts as nothing but dust and water,then becomes something strong enough to carry the world.While others chase fleeting things,my joy is in the steady rhythm of the mix,the rough texture under my hands,the sound of a trowel smoothing out imperfections.It grounds me—literally and emotionally.Concrete doesn’t lie.It doesn’t pretend.It holds what you give it,and when you do it right, it lasts.There’s beauty in that honesty,in the sweat and the patience it takes.And when the job is done—when the slab is set,when the surface is clean and firm underfoot—there’s a happiness in methat no words could ever fake.Not everyone understands it.But to me, it’s more than just a trade.It’s love.Because in this world of temporary things,I’ve found something solid—and in it, the truest kind of joy.
