A couple of days ago I had an amazing and heart warming event happen to me! I have been late on posting but here it goes....I pull up to the intersection coming from Wanchese headed toward Manteo, all of a sudden this guy taps on my window and tells me that he saw a kitten under my truck. I put my emergency flashers on and we both went back to see what was going on. I laid down under the back of my truck and for sure there was a small kitten hiding between my rotar and passenger rear wheel. We tried to coax the kitten out, with no luck and the other guy getting bit 😅 I decided to change tactics. Now realizing we were drawing a crowd, one lady even sacrificed a fresh piece of raw Tuna in attempt to attract the kitten, still no luck. I took a small rod I use for opening cars (I'm a Locksmith) and used it to get her to move from where she was hiding/stuck (without hurting or scaring her worse). She backed away from the rod and right into my hands!! Pulling her to my chest expecting teeth and claws I only received a grip of "I'm scared please help me!" Clinged to my chest I roll from under the van with her in my arms! Once to my feet, I realize that I may have a new kitten to take care of. Being a dog owner with little time for more I was willing but unsure. Out of nowhere Hannah Midgette appeared and said that she had been wanting a kitten and would love to take care of her! Only a few hours later Hannah had taken her for a checkup and her shots and made her part of the family!! She is doing great!! Settling in and enjoying being a part of her new family!! Thanks to Hannah Midgette for coming to her rescue!! I will never forget this day!! ❤️🐈
