IMMEDIATE NEED - Irrigation Technician and Crew Leader
Green Carolina Landscape Contracting is looking for an experienced irrigation technician and crew leader to add to our team. Applicant must have experience in irrigation system installation and troubleshooting, as well as knowledge of other facets of landscaping installation and equipment operation. Crew management experience is required to be considered for employment. The applicant MUST HAVE A DRIVER'S LICENSE, a great attitude and work ethic and have reliable transportation to our office on Clements Ferry Rd.

Other requirements:
Applicant must be drug free
Applicant must be able to pass E-verify to remain employed
Applicant must be able to follow company policy
Our work hours are M-F and occasional Saturdays 7am to 5pm.

Important information about the Scott's Bonus S bad batch that was sold at Lowe's. Please take note and do not apply it to your yard!!

"The manufacturer that Scotts used accidentally put too much Metsulfuron-Methal in the product. To give some perspective we were told that they occasionally use this chemical for w**d control at a rate of 1 oz per acre. This is a very strong chemical. Unfortunately the manufacturer who put too much of the chemical in the product is unable to determine how much they actually put in the product. Some initial estimates are as much as 10 times more than was supposed to be in the batch.

The EPA has supposedly gotten involved in the situation and as of today they have announced that they may be classifying the yards treated with this batch of Scotts as CHEMICAL SPILLS. Sod wholesalers are advising landscapers not to do sod replacements for customers with these issues until Scotts gives them a release stating they will be responsible if the new sod dies. He is advising this because they have already had customers new sod die as well because the chemical is so saturated in the soil. He also stated that they have seen instances of trees dying in these same yards from the Scotts product. He is advising that we are cautious when accepting sod jobs and we make sure the customer did not use Scotts, at least until Scotts is able to provide a release stating that they will be responsible if the replacement sod dies."
