Low slope porch roof can’t have shingles installed on it and that roll roofing turned out looking super sharp. You can hardly tell it’s there!

In a neighborhood where many homes are only 12-16 years old. Almost every roof has significant wind damage to them if they have not already gotten a new roof.

For this homeowner that was the status quo for her and her neighbors. What should NEVER be the status quo is a situation where you have 75+ wind damaged shingles on your roof and your insurance company DENIES your claim.

Well that’s exactly what happened here. When the homeowner and I sat down to call the adjuster to inquire as to why zero repairs were allowed to this roof… we were laughed at and told “I’ve been doing this for 20 years that is just old age and not from wind damage. I love when roofers and homeowners try to argue with me.”

Well rather than arguing, the homeowner requested the insurance send out an engineer to determine what caused these damages. The engineer did a fantastic job inspecting this roof and wrote up a report that required the insurance company to fully pay to replace this roof.

In this situation it isn’t about the denial.. What really bothers me is that the adjuster was so adamant, so proud and so willing to wrongly and ignorantly deny this claim while laughing at the homeowner in their face.

When you take on a roof claim we aren’t here to talk policy, we aren’t here to handle your claim for you, we are not public adjusters. We are hear to educate you and help you make all the right decisions from our experience in the roofing industry.

Serving our community doesn’t start and stop with simply providing a service to your home wether that be replacing your roof or HVAC system. It goes much deeper than that and together with your support we can continue to help the future generations of blue collar workers here in middle Georgia.

For 3 years now, myself along with Landon Carlson, owner of AC Doctor, have provided over $10,000 in scholarships to students graduating high school and going into trade school at CGTC.

Serving, providing for and guiding this communities next generation of leaders is something we are both very passionate about and we will continue to do so as long as the Lord allows!

Congrats to all of the graduates today and good luck with your futures in your respected trade field!

We have replaced a LOT of roofs in this neighborhood and we have another one on schedule for next week that might come as a surprise to many.

Stay tuned to see how an insurance company denied the replacement of a roof with 77 missing and wind damaged shingles saying the shingles were all from “wear and tear”. And even better you’ll learn how we were able to guide the homeowner into taking the proper steps on turning that full denial into a full replacement!
