What looks like a simple yet beautiful piece of red oak is actually a custom floor transition. This was a first for me and I learned a lot from project. The table saw set ups took some planning to keep safe and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I can't wait to see it once the customer stains it and installs it.

Working on a bedroom vanity desk and am really excited to see it come together. Tonight was spent breaking down the baltic birch for the desk body as well as planing down the boards for the drawer frames.

If anyone knows of a rescue or friend that uses wood bedding for their animals I produce about a 5 gallon bucket worth for every board I plane. Please let me know and I will keep the pine and other animal safe woods separate for you!

First time using gel stain is in the books and I am really happy with how it turned out. Started with sanding up to 150 grit then cleaning the surface. Prior to staining I applied a slip coat of mineral spirits and start applying a liberal amount of the stain. Then it's just wiping it over the surface with rags. Finally take a clean rag and remove any excess in the direction of the grain.

Also got some dark walnut stain applied for a Poppycox Originals project.

Have the desk tops prepped and ready to go for staining and sealing over the next few nights. Paint to follow on the bas...

Have the desk tops prepped and ready to go for staining and sealing over the next few nights. Paint to follow on the bases then final assembly. It's all starting to come together can't wait to show everyone the finished product.

Also putting the finish on two more wine bottle holders one is pine finished in finishing oil and the other is poplar in boiled linseed oil. .

Last but certainly not least are some boards that will be stained in dark walnut for a little project Poppycox Originals has going on. Can't wait to share what they have going on!
