It is both a very special yet bittersweet moment in time this Halloween as Lovell Construction closes its doors after 32 years serving Columbia County. Jud started this company after learning from one of the best, Merril Strobel, when he was young. At 22 years of age Jud went out on his own and had the drive and passion to forge through good years and tough years to be a success in this business. He was tough, caring, paid attention to detail, and worked tirelessly to help others’ dreams come true. He rarely said NO and could be a handful to work with and for. But he was a “can do” person with true love for the trade. Thank you sooooo very much to our employees over time (you meant the world to him), the subcontractors we worked closely with (top-notch people, gems, and friends), and especially to the clients who put such trust in his hands. He truly admired and cared for each and every one of you. Towards the end he often said “My ambition is starting to outweigh my talent,” and he was starting to show what 32 years in business reflect. I cannot tell you how much I admire, love, respect, and miss this man. We may be closing a door, but my door will always be open to you. 💟
Blessings and love to all who’ve been there along the way.
