First off, this is not for recognition! Just trying to help someone in need.

I noticed this gentleman when I went to the car wash on Center Street by Owens. He didn’t bother anyone or ask anybody for anything.
He watched me some as I washed my truck and trailer.
When I finished I went over to him and asked him if he was ok, and if he would be interested in a sandwich from Jimmy John’s next door. He said that would be very nice. I asked him he he wanted anything special, and he said he wasn’t picky and he would appreciate anything he got.
I walked over to Jimmy John’s and bought him the biggest hot sandwich they had, and a bottle of water.
When I went back over to him with the sandwich I said “here you go buddy!”. He replied with “thank you, I’m sorry.”
I said why are you sorry? He replied “I don’t know “ and chuckled a little.
I told him he was very welcome and that I hoped he had a good day.
I then went into Owen’s and got our groceries. I also bought him a big box of the biggest trash bags they had so he could maybe cover himself and his stuff since it’s raining and will be this weekend.
When I went back to him he was asleep in the same spot. His sandwich was half eaten and saved for later. I didn’t wake him up, I just left the bag with the trash bags next to his belongings.
If anyone is interested in helping him further, he is in the Superwash parking lot on the East side, between the car wash and Jimmy John’s.
