"Topped Out, Now She Cures"

Wall's built back up, corner's locked, and the new masonry is tied into the original structure on both sides. Now we let the mortar and grouted cells fully cure before we come back to finish the soffit and cornice work. Huge thanks to Hickerson Volunteer Fire Department for trusting us to fix this the right way — not the fast way. More to come once we close this project out! 🚒✅

"Toothing In for the Long Haul"

Here's a detail most people would never think to ask about: the original wall was tied to the adjoining building with a cold, unbonded joint — basically two walls just sitting next to each other. We toothed our new wall back into both adjoining sections, structurally locking the buildings together instead of leaving that weak seam. This is the attention to detail that sets Bobo Construction apart. 👷

"Dialed In and Poured Solid"

This is where a 20-year-old weak point becomes a lifetime fix. We drilled directly into the slab and dialed #5 rebar into the concrete for a real structural bond, then rebuilt the wall with vertical #5 rebar every 32" on center — every single cell with rebar poured solid. The corner? Fully locked in from the ground up. This wall isn't going anywhere. 🔩🧱

"Before We Touch the Wall, We Protect the Roof"

Before a single block came down, we built a serious temporary shoring wall to carry the roof trusses spanning that back wall. No shortcuts — the structure stays supported the entire time the real wall is out of commission. This is the kind of prep step that separates a contractor who's just filling a hole from one who's protecting the whole building. That's the Bobo difference. 💪
