If you have a pump for a fixture in your home it is very important to do routine preventative maintenance on them. Pumps are mainly used in situations where gravity cannot get the water out. That’s why most of the time you’ll find them in basements.

Depending on the usage the pump should be pulled out and the pump chamber emptied of left over solids and debris the pumps cannot pump. Pumps are very susceptible to clogs.

Today we pulled out this pump after it stopped pumping. We knew immediately what was wrong when we found it covered it hair. After removing the hair stuck in the pump and emptying out the pump chamber they were back in business.

Hydro jetting a kitchen sink drain this is why you should never pour grease down the drain. If you look in the bucket we had to drain out over 10 5 gallon buckets full of grease. We had to jet this line back and forth for over an hour before it fully cleared.

A deeper look into a septic system. This customer had a back up which required us to expose the inlet cover to snake out the drain. They also requested we dig out the center cover and install a riser and cover for future pumping. This system also had a pump chamber to pump up to the leech field. After having all the covers exposed you can see how much goes into a simple septic system.

Snaking out a blockage from a septic tank. In a situation like this it’s crucial you hire the right company. If we were to use a basement cleanout on this job all that sewage would have flooded out the basement. Since we’ve been here a time or two we knew to dig up the septic inlet cover to keep any potential mess outside instead of in your homes basement.

We used a variety of equipment to get this massive root blockage out including a snake, a hydro jetter with a root cutting nozzle, and a sewer camera. The snake was used to poke a hole through the roots to allow for water to flow to avoid any flooding inside. After snaking the hydro jetter cut out all the roots with 4000 psi of water pressure. Then the camera to confirm all the roots were out and water was flowing completely unrestricted to the city sewer.

We always go the extra mile to keep our customers happy. This customer had a sewer back up not only did we fix the leak, remove the root intrusion from the sewer line, we also cleaned the whole area and even repainted the floor that they just had painted before the backup.

A friendly reminder to not put grease down the drains in your home. At this job we ended up cutting out a whole sectioned of pipe due to a “belly” and it was packed full with years of grease. We had to hydro jet from the inside of the house out to the septic as well.
