Tonight’s ASMFC meeting for DC and the PRFC was interesting. Rich from spoke up to help save striped bass. I spoke up but so did a commercial fisherman who double-dipped on the microphone. There were 17 people on the call. That’s a sad turnout. I hope we, as anglers can start doing better and showing up. Some will argue that there are plenty of 34” striped bass. What you can’t argue is that there are not a lot of younger, smaller fish, to fill in when those fish age out. We need more than one spike in recruitment to help save stripers. needs to listen to the few real anglers who show up - not voting for the bay boats from Virginia.
