For this residence in Kalorama, we provided both architectural and interior design services, bringing together the home’s historic character with thoughtful modern updates.

The interior design approach focused on highlighting the property’s historic architectural character while introducing contemporary elements such as lighting fixtures and modern tiles. This home renovation was guided by the clients’ love of bright, bold colors.

Designed to belong to its Arlington neighborhood, this custom home reinterprets the character of surrounding craftsman and colonial architecture through a more refined, contemporary lens.

Traditional proportions ground the design in its setting, while large windows, a bold black-and-white exterior, and warm wood accents give it a fresh presence on its corner lot.
