Thank you to everyone who joined us at Corenic’s Subcontractor Outreach Event last week.

It was a great opportunity to connect with subcontractors from across the region, share how our teams work across departments, and discuss upcoming opportunities to collaborate. Thanks to all the trade partners who took the time to attend, asked questions, and engaged with our team. We believe that strong subcontractor relationships are essential to delivering successful projects, and we’re excited about the new partnerships made during the event.

We would also like to recognize our Corenic team members who helped organize and support the event along with our external partners that helps to get the work out. Your support and collaboration, made the afternoon a success. We look forward to continuing these conversations and working alongside both new and longtime trade partners on projects across the region.

Women in Construction Week is an opportunity to recognize the talent, leadership, and perspective shaping our industry.

At Corenic, that includes Jada Jones, who plays an important role in our estimating efforts and helps position projects for success long before construction begins.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we honor the women whose remarkable work has transformed our world and continues to inspire future generations. Their legacies reflect the resilience, innovation, and leadership that drive progress.

Today, we spotlight Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson—a pioneering physicist in science and technology. As the first African American woman to earn a Ph.D. from MIT, Dr. Jackson has made remarkable contributions to research and telecommunications.

Her work in advancing technologies like the touch-tone telephone and developments in broadband and fiber optics has reshaped the tech landscape. Dr. Jackson’s leadership as the first African American woman to lead a top-ranked research university, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, continues to inspire future generations of women in STEM.

What a night! We were honored to support and celebrate United Communities Against Poverty (UCAP) at their 60th Anniversary Gala. For six decades, UCAP has been a beacon of hope in our community, headquartered in Capitol Heights, MD. They have tirelessly advocated for those facing challenges in education, affordable housing, economic stability, emergency shelter, and food services. As the State of Maryland’s designated Community Action Agency for Prince George’s County, UCAP continues its mission to alleviate poverty and improve the quality of life for those in need.

As a proud partner in their journey, Corenic Construction is privileged to lead the new construction of UCAP’s community facility, providing a space where real change can happen.
