We celebrated the ribbon cutting and completion of Phase 2 of John R. Thompson Jr. High School!
The $91 million project includes a 33,000-square-foot addition with new science, art, music, and technology-equipped learning spaces, expanding the school’s capacity to 800 students.
The ribbon cutting coincided with the first day of school and the first under the school’s new name, honoring Hall of Fame Georgetown Coach John Thompson Jr., a legendary coach, educator, and mentor. His impact reached far beyond basketball through his commitment to education and creating opportunities for students and youth across Washington, DC.
We’re honored to have helped deliver a school that will carry Coach Thompson’s legacy forward while providing students with new spaces to learn, grow, and succeed.
Congratulations to our project team and partners whose dedication and hard work brought this incredible project to life!
