Employee Spotlight: David K.
David has been part of Saalex for three months, bringing curiosity, analytical focus, and a hands-on approach to the Corporate Development team.
As a Junior Financial Analyst Intern on Saalex’s Corporate Development team, David supports M&A and strategic growth initiatives in the aerospace and defense contracting space. His work includes building and refining financial models, analyzing potential acquisitions and partnerships, and helping evaluate opportunities across the small-business and middle-market sectors.
David also collaborates closely with the Corporate Development team and receives hands-on mentorship from VP Shannon S. One highlight of his time so far has been leading a real project from start to finish that became an active deal, contributing directly to Saalex’s growth strategy.
What David enjoys most is owning meaningful M&A work from beginning to end: building the models, analyzing opportunities, and seeing a project he led become an active deal. He also values the mentorship and exposure he is gaining in the defense contracting space.
At 6'6", David may be tall, but he admits he is terrified of heights, especially on roller coasters and other attractions.
