Wait… our little neighborhood alley just won an AWARD?! 🥹🎨🌻

Artsy Alley was named the 2026 East Central Region winner for Show Me Neighborhood Art Month by University of Missouri Extension! 🏆

What started as a little creativity tucked into an ordinary alley has turned into something so much bigger, neighbors connecting, people stopping to look, conversations starting, and our little corner of Washington becoming a place people actually come to see. ❤️

And one line from the media release says it perfectly: public art can do so much more than beautify a neighborhood, it can bring people together and create a sense of belonging.

That’s exactly what Artsy Alley has become. 🌻🎨

Welcome to Artsy Alley, one of Washington, Missouri’s best-kept hidden gems! 🌸🎨

Tucked away in the alley between Washington Avenue and Fulton Street, across from the American Legion, Artsy Alley is a colorful outdoor art walk filled with hand-painted murals, blooming flower gardens, butterflies, pollinators, and plenty of picture-perfect moments. Every season brings something new to discover, making each visit a little different from the last.

Whether you’re looking for a peaceful stroll, a fun family outing, or the perfect backdrop for your next photo, Artsy Alley is waiting for you.

🌸 Artsy Alley is almost at peak bloom! 🎨

Looking for a quick escape without leaving town? Come experience one of Washington’s happiest little hidden gems.

What started with neighbors planting zinnias has blossomed into a colorful alley filled with flowers, murals, butterflies, bees, and community spirit.

Take a slow drive, enjoy a stroll, snap a few pictures, and soak in the beauty. If you see us outside, don’t be shy, wave hello! We love meeting new visitors and sharing our little corner of town.

📍 You’ll find Artsy Alley just off Washington Avenue, across from the American Legion near Mercy Hospital. It’s the alley that runs between E. 1st Street and E. 3rd Street.

💛 Please remember, Artsy Alley is a residential neighborhood where families and children live, so drive slowly and help us keep it a magical place for everyone.
