We got called out to a house Friday for what was described as “When I use the stove, it starts sparking. Another electrician told us the 240 volt receptacle was bad”. Well upon examination, it was found that the plugs for the burners were arcing against the metal which burned holes into the metal (First picture). Fortunately this did not escalate into something more serious. This is why if you ever have any doubt, call an electrician. It could mean saving your house from burning down.
