🚀 MAJOR UPGRADE

This family got quotes from 6 contractors to replace their A/C — and chose Apex for the job.

When we got out there, we found way more than a simple replacement. Bad ductwork. Almost no insulation. Electrical issues. And the kicker: the original installers cut the attic trusses just to cram the unit into a spot it never should've gone.

This wasn't a swap-and-go. It needed to be done right.

We laid out a plan to fix all of it — ductwork, insulation, electrical, structural — and they trusted us to make it happen. Our team delivered: balanced airflow, quieter operation, and a big drop in energy costs.

This is why the details matter. 💪

Our guys knocked out another awesome install of a couple Hyper-Heat®️ductless systems to replace old inefficient propane through-the-wall heaters and window units.

This will give these clients the best comfort money can buy while reducing energy costs year-round

As a Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Contractor you get an industry leading 12 year warranty, backed by the factory. And unlike many of the cheaper units out there, they are great about parts availability. Many brands may promise a warranty, but if the parts aren’t available it isn’t much good.

ENERGY STAR certified mini splits use more sophisticated compressors and fans that can adjust speeds to save energy and money. They also cool directly from the unit, rather than passing air through a network of fabricated ductwork, eliminating energy losses that can account for more than 30% of a home’s energy use for space conditioning. Four individual zones of air conditioning? Sure thing, in fact, we can do as many as you want. We wrapped up another popular Mitsubishi Electric ceiling cassette system to cool this older Victorian home from the top down. This client is able to retain most of their attic for storage, instead of ductwork consuming the space. It’s a win-win.

-12 year warranty
-Professional installation
-Super-efficient cooling (and heating) for years to come.

☀️ Public Service Announcement from Apex Heating & Cooling

NJ has been experiencing some serious heat lately, and we wanted to share a few things you should know about your air conditioning system.

🏠 Standard indoor comfort design conditions are approximately 75°F at 50% relative humidity.

🌡️ The summer outdoor design temperature for Northern New Jersey is generally around 89–91°F, depending on your exact location. This is called the 1% design temperature, meaning outdoor temperatures are below this level about 99% of the cooling season.

So, what happens when temperatures climb above that?

1️⃣ Your air conditioner may run continuously.
This is completely normal. During extreme heat, a properly functioning system may run all day and well into the evening as it works to offset the heat entering your home.

2️⃣ Your indoor temperature may drift a few degrees above your thermostat setting.
This can also be normal during extreme weather. Your air conditioner was designed around specific outdoor conditions, and when Mother Nature pushes beyond those conditions, the indoor temperature may slowly rise a few degrees above your setpoint.

❄️ One more important tip: Turning your thermostat from 72° down to 68° won't cool your home any faster. Your thermostat isn't an accelerator pedal—it simply tells the system when to run. If your system is already running continuously, lowering the setting won't increase its cooling capacity.

Here are a few things you can do to help your air conditioner during this heat wave:

✅ Keep blinds and curtains closed on windows receiving direct sunlight.
✅ Avoid using the oven, clothes dryer, and other heat-producing appliances during the hottest part of the day whenever possible.
✅ Keep exterior doors and windows closed as much as possible.
✅ Replace your air filter if it's due. A clean filter helps your system move air more efficiently.
✅ If you have ceiling fans, use them. They don't lower the room temperature, but they help you feel cooler and may allow you to remain comfortable at a slightly higher thermostat setting.
✅ Make sure your outdoor unit is free of grass clippings, leaves, and other debris so it can reject heat efficiently.

If your system is blowing warm air, freezing up, won't run, or stops cooling altogether, then it's time to have it checked.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and remember—your air conditioner is working hard right alongside you during this Jersey heat.
