This is an invoice from a scammer.
In the Locksmith industry, we have a problem with internet scammers using bait and switch tactics. They show an unbelievably low price in their advertisements, then, after the work is done, they hit you with a bill like this.
Pieces of advice:
1. If you’re locked out, that typically means only 1 lock, your k**b/lever, is locked. That means there is no reason to even attack a deadbolt.
2. Any professional Locksmith, can almost ALWAYS pick your standard house lock. No drilling required.
3. There is NO such thing as double security in a deadbolt, if it had to be drilled, it would be the same as the k**b.
4. $300 for a new k**b & $300 for a new deadbolt, for Chinese garbage, is a joke. NONE of the scammers are selling high security locks, which would justify these prices.
All of the prices are a joke. Even at full, middle of the night, overtime, nobody should be paying these prices. So, before agreeing to a “low priced” scammer, make a few other phone calls and find a REPUTABLE Locksmith.
