We were absolutely overjoyed by the many generous donations from our wonderful Valley community. We are deeply grateful for how many people donated, and how thoughtful all the donations were!

💧Our trailer is now on its way to Tok with a crew of teenagers to help organize and distribute donations, and serve the community. Our owner, Frank, will be doing free well assessments and repairs for fire-affected residents and hook-ups for those trying to protect their homes.

💧Huge shout-out to Mat-Su Home Builders for coordinating the collection of vital building materials for the emergency structures being built for displaced Tok residents!!

💙UPDATE, 8/23: The generosity shown by the Valley is incredible! Our trailer is FULL and we are no longer accepting donations. If Tok has additional needs and we are doing another trip, we will share another post! Thank you! 💙

Our heart goes out to Tok and Clearwater Wells wants to help. We are heading to Tok on Sunday/Monday with a trailer of supplies and our pump truck. Valley folks: please bring your donations to our shop in Wasilla by Saturday night.

FREE WELL REPAIRS:

- For those in Tok who have lost their homes and your well is not working because of the fire, we can fix the top of the well to get it working again for free. We know properties may not be accessible by the time we come up this weekend, so this is a long-standing offer and we will come up again!

- If you have a well without power in Tok, we can help you wire it to run off a generator. We don't know how long this fire will last but we will give priority to those who are near the fire and trying to protect their homes, and this will also be free.

DONATIONS:

We are collecting donations at our shop at 6830 E. Green Glen Dr. in Wasilla off Bogard Rd. There will be an enclosed trailer in the parking lot—please leave donations there by Saturday night. Currently, fire victims need only items for their immediate needs and storage is a concern, so please donate:

- New socks and underwear in various sizes
- New or clean clothing
- New or clean bedding (blankets, sleeping bags, etc.)
- Clean totes or Rubbermaid containers for storing
- Bottled water and drinks
- Non-perishable food: shelf-stable, needs to be able to be stored in winter without heat; winter is coming and canned goods do not do well in freezing weather
- Baby supplies/diapers
- Toiletries and hygiene supplies
- Pet food and supplies
- Gift cards

Prayers for our many customers and friends in Tok. We hope and pray this wildfire ends quickly. We will be monitoring closely to see if there is anything we can do.🙏

A fast-moving wildfire ignited late Monday morning in the backyard of a home along the Alaska Highway near Sundog Trail, prompting evacuations and drawing a large-scale response from state, local and federal firefighting resources.

Our 16-year-old son enjoying the sunshine while he assists on a 1/2 hp pump replacement in Valdez. He normally works with the drilling crew-- he loves the big rigs and getting dirty-- but we are teaching him all aspects of the well industry! 💙💦

💧WE'RE HIRING more crew for the upcoming season! Clearwater Wells is looking for roustabouts/laborers:

- Roustabouts are the support workers for our well drillers. We are looking for a roustabout/laborer who has experience with wells OR who is willing and eager to learn about wells and can grow with us. Duties include driving equipment to and from job sites, safely handling heavy 20' pieces of well casing and pipe, assisting the driller, and welding.

💧What we are looking for:
- Situational awareness and a commitment to safety is of paramount importance. You must have a good driving record.
- You must be able to provide excellent customer service at all times, and work as a team with our entire crew.
- For roustabouts: we prefer someone who has a CDL and welding experience but we're willing to train the right person.

💧Who we are:
- We are a hardworking, rapidly growing business and our customers and our employees are our highest priority. Always.
- We're headquartered in Wasilla but we drill wells all over Alaska. Most of our work is in the Valley but we travel frequently to the Interior. We also drill tracked rig wells in winter.
- We pay our employees well, with lots of overtime during our busy season and a footage bonus paid weekly.
