A low pressure system moving into Southcentral Alaska will bring more widespread snowfall to the region beginning tonight. Here are forecasted snowfall totals from tonight through Saturday morning. A quick burst of heavy snow is forecast on Wednesday, with accumulation rates of up to one inch per hour possible during the morning commute. The light, powdery snow will be easily lofted by moving vehicles which will significantly reduce visibility on area roads. Use caution while traveling. Snow will taper off through the day for Anchorage, but last into the afternoon/evening for the Mat-Su Valleys, where snow accumulations up to 6 inches are possible.
