The entire design of the Damon house revolved around getting the stairway to one end of the house (wall against garage).
It's nice to see it start to come together!
The treads were made by heating the back of a vinyl flooring plank with a torch and bending it in a custom jig (2 boards screwed to a table).
I changed how thick the tread looked by changing how far into the jig the piece went.
Instead of installing the trim molding under the treads afterward (like usual), I installed them before.
I used baseboard trim, made it shorter and flipped it upside down so that it's a taller piece than normal molding. I glued those even with the tread (with a shim for extra thickness) to carry the force at the nosing.
The last 2 pictures are of the entryway, which shares a wall with the stairway.
