A fourth generation roofing business since the early 1900s, The Heritage Company has been serving northern New England since 1983, providing high quality slate roofing and coppersmith services. Our full-service sheet metal shop uses old school techniques to reproduce exact size and configuration reproduction copper gutters and cornice work. We have a highly-skilled nine man crew with over 100 years of combined experience.

So, here’s something interesting! I was looking around our shop the other day and it occurred to me, a lot of our product is American made 🇺🇸.

Our copper comes from Revere Copper made in Rome, NY from 90% recycled copper.
Our copper nails, copper bar stock and copper rivets all American made.
Our Solder comes from Canfield Industries made in Sareville, NJ.
Roofing nails made by Maze Co. Peru, Illinois.
Roof cement made by Palmer Asphalt Bayonne, NJ.
Soldering paste by Johnson MFG Princeton, IA.
Most of our slate comes from Vermont Quarries.
A lot of our slate is salvaged / recycled.
