We are seeking just the right person to assume the responsibility of planning and managing the ongoing installation of our client’s expansive gardens.
You will be managing a group of experienced staff and nonexperienced staff, developing their skills and working with them to get the job done.
Budget management experience is important as we work to control costs and cultivate the grounds of our expansive clientele.
To succeed as the Working Garden Supervisor you need to be skilled in multi-tasking, have excellent communication skills, in English a strong ability to work tactfully with our clients and staff.
Garden Manager
· Supervises and coordinates the activities of the gardeners, performing landscape tasks as needed.
· Designs the layout and installation of routine gardening/landscaping. Plans gardening tasks, instructing gardeners planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
· Purchases and maintains an inventory of all grounds related equipment, tools, and supplies
· Trains gardeners on use of equipment, tools, and new techniques
· Coordinates special projects.
· Inspects grounds routinely to ensure a high standard is maintained.
· Monitors for and safety hazards on the grounds
· Bring some creativity and energy to work every day!
Compensation: Salary or hourly wage to be discussed during interview.
Garden Manager Requirements:
· Experience and knowledge of gardening techniques, landscaping, and fertilization.
· Knowledge of soils, plant diseases, and pest control.
· Ability to maintain positive customer service standards and be a team player.
· Patience and thoughtfulness.
