With salt being more of a luxury than commodity this winter, here’s a tip!

1) Pull out your old watering can or even an empty plastic bottle you can poke holes into!

2) In the case of your standard water bottle

- fill just over half with hot water
- add approx. 4 caps of rubbing alcohol
- add 2 drops of dish soap

3) Apply generously to slick spots around your home!

Don’t get me wrong, you probably can’t de-ice your entire driveway with this but for some of our more vulnerable members of our community such as the elderly, this is great for your porch, steps, and path to your car!
