Meet Steffen, one of our talented Foremen here at ICC! Steffen came onboard 6.5 years ago through the acquisition of OSI, and we’re proud to have him as part of the team.
Steffen’s passion for construction comes from his love of working with his hands and building things. He built a strong foundation in the trade by attending Oakland Technical Center for four years and continuing his education through ABC School for two years after high school. He has also worked alongside our Project Manager, Bill, in the trades professionally for the past 15 years.
One of his favorite projects at ICC has been the Kroger store in Fenton, a project that stands out in his career so far.
One of the biggest lessons Steffen has learned while working here is the importance of taking initiative, running jobs, and improving communication with others. Those experiences have helped him continue growing both personally and professionally.
What motivates him every day is the drive to keep improving, earn more, and work toward retiring early.
Outside of work, Steffen enjoys riding dirt bikes, farming, and fishing with his dad.
Fun fact you might not know: Steffen grows pumpkins every year and has an ongoing competition with his dad to grow the biggest one. His personal best is 115 lbs!
