Workshop Wednesday #11: Westerly, RI

After several weeks of taking you through our Westerly, RI kitchen remodel, which has been underway since the end of April, we are thrilled to finally show you some snapshots of the finished product! Throughout the past four months, our team has installed new sheetrock, tile flooring, maple cabinets with crown molding, quartz countertops, and appliances as well as completed extensive electrical and plumbing work for a full transformation. The recent addition of a matching maple table and slatted drum-shade pendant lights in the dining area ties the room together with a unique yet uniform look. We are thrilled with the outcome of this space and excited for the client to enjoy it every day for many years to come!

The work we do today would not be possible without the framework of character and craftsmanship laid by our founder, David, and this week we look back at his journey to becoming a successful business owner. After introducing the Ryan brand custom countertop seamless, rimless stainless steel sink in southeastern Connecticut, he purchased the Wareham, Massachusetts plant that designed them and brought it to Norwich, the site of our showroom for fifty years. Throughout his career, David designed well over 3,500 kitchens with some as far away as Florida and Michigan, prioritizing excellence across each project. We are honored to carry on David’s legacy today and look forward to delivering for our future clients!

Lei and Wenfeng’s kitchen highlights not only a clean and contemporary look, but also the way in which colorful walls can completely transform a space. The sunny yellow shade blends beautifully with the smooth white cabinetry, island, and backsplash, allowing the area to pop with brightness. After removing a few walls to make the downstairs rooms flow together, we decided to redo their stairs as well as fireplace mantle to maintain a cohesive design. The result is an inviting and energetic space that ensures Lei and Wenfeng start and end each day on a positive note.
