Another project completed and another drainage problem solved!

This customer was dealing with water issues around her home, along with a driveway that needed some attention. We started by re-grading the existing driveway and extending it to create additional parking space, finishing it with a fresh layer of gravel.

After evaluating the property, we found that the grade along the front of the house was not allowing water to properly drain away from the foundation. Using our laser equipment, we carefully re-graded the entire front yard and created a swale to intercept runoff coming down the hill and safely direct it away from the home.

We also addressed a problem area next to the customer’s new carport and patio where runoff from the driveway was collecting. To eliminate the issue, we installed a French drain system and tied in the existing downspout drains to efficiently move water away from the area.

To finish the project, the customer wanted to transform the muddy, overgrown area between the carport and back porch into a clean, low-maintenance space. We removed the topsoil, installed landscape fabric, and topped it with a beautiful layer of 2B stone for a finished look that will stay clean and functional for years to come.

Another project completed by Twisted K Land Services!

This customer recently had their driveway paved and wanted to improve both the drainage and overall appearance of their property. We started by tying the home’s gutter downspouts into an existing French drain system to help move water away from the house and reduce potential drainage issues.

Along the newly paved driveway, there was a noticeable lip along the edges, so we installed pea gravel to create a clean, finished look while also helping protect the edges of the pavement.

The property also had an unsightly low area where they used to have a pile of stone had previously been removed. We brought in screened topsoil, properly graded the area, and blended it into the surrounding yard to improve drainage and create a smooth, attractive finish.

It’s the small details that make a big difference in the appearance and functionality of a property.

Wrapped up a drainage improvement project where we cleaned and reshaped approximately 950 feet of ditching that had become heavily silted in over the years from field runoff. Restoring the ditch line will help improve water flow, protect the surrounding properties, and prevent further loss of yard edges caused by poor drainage.

We also installed a new 36” culvert pipe alongside the existing culvert, which was beginning to show its age, to better handle the volume of water flowing through the ditch system and improve long-term drainage performance.

Another project wrapped up successfully.

The customer was dealing with standing water around their pole barn, so we came in and reworked the area to improve drainage and create a cleaner, more usable space. We cut the hillside back, installed a proper swale, and put in a French drain system around the barn to move water away from the building.

We also graded a new pad beside the barn for a future lean-to addition, then spread and compacted several loads of millings in front of the barn using our 5-ton roller for a solid finished surface.

To finish the project off, we removed the sod and topsoil around the customer’s apple tree, installed fabric, and added 1B white limestone to create a clean sitting area with a sharp finished look.

Another solid project knocked out between the rain showers.

A few weeks ago, we were on this property doing land management work — clearing trails and improving access roads back to the customer’s gas well, hunting stands, and firewood area. Originally, the plan was to wait until next year for the next phase, but after seeing the progress from the first job, the customer was ready to keep moving forward.

This time, we finished improving the gas well road with oversized stone to eliminate the deep ruts and create a much more durable surface. We also installed nearly 1,500 feet of ditching alongside the roadway to help control washouts and improve drainage.

To wrap the project up, we addressed standing water issues around the horse pasture and lawn by installing 300 feet of French drains to help dry the yard out and improve drainage around the property.

Another project wrapped up and ready for the next step.

Customer upgraded to a larger and deeper pool, so we came in and removed the existing sand base, excavated the area deeper and wider to fit the new pool dimensions, then carefully graded and leveled everything to ensure a solid foundation. After final grade was achieved, we spread the sand back out to create a smooth, level surface ready for installation.

Another one in the books 💪

This one had a little bit of everything. We came in and got to work clearing land and managing the woods — opening things up for better hunting, cutting in trails, so the home owner can plant new trees to help keep the property in good shape for years to come.

The road was taking a beating from water running over it, so we cut in about 300 feet of ditch line along the roadway to move that water where it belongs. Built the road back up with oversized stone for a strong base and installed three culvert pipes to keep everything draining right.

Around the horse arena was all rutted up,so we dug out the ruts, cleaned it up, and laid down recycled 2A to make it solid and smooth again.

While we were there, we also tracked down a leak in a sump pump line — ended up being a big hole in the side of a fitting. Dug it up and got it fixed the right way.

No shortcuts, no half jobs — just solid work done right.

We took a short break from a larger project to take care of a customer’s driveway that needed immediate attention. The existing culvert pipe had begun to surface, creating a sinkhole and posing a serious hazard to vehicles.

We responded quickly, removed the damaged culvert, and after consulting with PennDOT, confirmed that a replacement pipe was no longer necessary. We then regraded the area and installed a fresh layer of 2A recycled material to restore a safe, solid driveway.

Another challenging job wrapped up ✔️

We were called in to fix a sinking parking lot for the Fuller Hose Fire Department, and once we got into it, we found the root of the problem — an old house was never fully removed from an existing demo causing lots of voids and settling over the years causing the parking lot to slowly cave in. We started by breaking out and removing all the existing concrete, then excavated and hauled away all debris from the buried structure. Once everything was cleared out, we brought the site back down to solid, undisturbed ground to ensure a proper foundation.

From there, we rebuilt it the right way:• Installed bank gravel in lifts, compacting every 10–12 inches with a 5-ton roller• Built up a strong, stable base from the ground up• Finished it off with recycled 2A to properly cap and seal the surface

No shortcuts on this one — just doing it the right way so it lasts.
