After wrapping up reinbeck on Wed, headed back to the Loo to start prep on this massive shop floor. 5in thick floor, with v***r barrier and rebar going in Monday. Custom built integral drains by yours truly to fit the massive cast iron grates the customer wanted to use. First time building an integral drain of this size and am super excited to see how it all comes out 😎 Whatever you’re doing in life, keep gettin after it!🤘🏻

Spent the first part of the day partying over in Jesup for this patio extension. After prepping everything, we ran back to Waterloo for this quick prep and pour for farmer Saddler. Fun fact, it was insanely hot today….. Another fun fact, if concrete is sloped towards a building, it’ll cause some water issues and possibly flood the front of your storefront during heavy rainstorms. We can fix that 🤘🏻 Another work of art done by the one, the only, Mills Concrete. Back tomorrow for cut and cleanup 😎

Busy day on the jobsite! Finally got to tearing out the rest of the driveway and most of the city sidewalk. Removed 4in of clay dirt and whatever else was underneath the original slab and packed in some 1in reclaim. We see a lot of failing driveways placed right on top of dirt. In some applications (like a small shed pad) concrete poured on top of soil is just fine. But to get a long lasting, quality driveway, prepping your grade is step one. We don’t do what’s easy, we do what’s right. Shoutout to Lehman trucking and excavation for hauling everything away for us today! Have a fantastic weekend everyone! Oh, and whatever you’re doing in life, keep getting after it 🤘🏻
