It might look like nothing more than a piece of wood that's been cut out, but what you don't see is the days of planning, preparation, programming, and attention to detail that go into getting it just right.

And this is only the beginning of something personalized for someone.

When I take on a custom project, there's one thing I keep in mind: I want to exceed the expectations of the person receiving it. I have to be happy with what leaves my shop. If it doesn't meet my standards, it's not good enough for the person it's being made for.

Once the project is finished, it's up to the recipient to let me know if I've captured the vision they had in their mind.

At the end of the day, anything that leaves this shop carries my name on it. It represents who I am, the pride I take in my work, and what Anderson Woodworks USA stands for.

**An idea is where it starts. The details, dedication, and craftsmanship are what make it personal.

**Same girl. Same style rocker. Years apart. ❤️**

These pictures tell a story that means more to me than simply building a rocking horse.

The little girl in these photos is the same girl—just a few years and a whole lot of growing later. From being small enough to climb right in for a test ride, to growing into the rocker, she’s been there through the process.

And that's exactly why I build them the way I do.

I could make a rocker faster. I could cut corners. I could build something that looks good today.

But that's not the point.

The intention is to build something with **quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail** that can become an heirloom—something that gets passed down, not thrown away.

Something a child enjoys today…
Something a parent holds onto tomorrow…
And someday, something another little one gets to experience.

**Years may change. Kids may grow. Styles may change.**

But the intention stays the same:

**Build it right. Build it to last. Build something worth keeping.**

That's the kind of craftsmanship I believe in. ❤️

🐾 **WOW… You Guys!** 🐾

I have to say, I wasn't expecting the response to my last post!

Thank you to everyone who commented, shared their dog's breed, told me about their personality, and gave me so many great ideas. I've been reading through the comments and there are some REALLY interesting suggestions in there.

You've definitely given me a lot to think about! 😂

Over the next few weeks, I'm going to be looking at all of these suggestions and figuring out which breeds, personalities and artistic styles I want to explore.

One thing became pretty clear from all of your comments:

**Every dog has a personality.**

That's what I'm trying to capture with this artwork. I'm not trying to simply copy a photograph or make a generic "Bulldog," "Lab," or "Golden." I want the finished piece to make the owner look at it and say:

**"Yep… that's MY dog."**

I'm going to take my time with this and see where it leads rather than trying to rush it.

And for those of you who commented and thought, **"I'd really like one of my dog someday…"** — I'd love to know that too.

🐾 **Send me a private message with your dog's breed if you'd be interested in having one created when I start taking commissions.**

There's no commitment and I'm not taking orders yet. I'm simply trying to get an idea of who's interested as I develop this.
