To the hardworking volunteers from Performance Towing and Recovery, Ultimate Construction Inc, Larry's Lumber :
This Labor Day, we thank you for choosing to spend your precious time and energy helping someone in need. By volunteering your skills to support a woman in our community who is battling cancer, you did far more than build an outdoor gathering space — you brought hope, comfort, and happiness at a time when it’s needed most.
Your generosity is a reminder that true labor isn’t just about hard work, but about heart. That kind of generosity speaks volumes about who you are—not just hardworking professionals, but spirited community builders. The compassion you’ve shown will be remembered not only in the project you completed, but in the memories of a family who cherishes every day they get with Mom.
Your dream team planned and executed with unbelievable precision to disassemble, transport, and reconstruct the grain bin. It was truly impressive to see how you collaborated to get the job done! What made it even more special is that 7 out of 9 of you were Shanon's past students!
On behalf of My Happy Place and the Manley family, thank you for giving your expertise, time, equipment, and materials to make this one-of-a-kind project a reality. You’ve made this Labor Day week memorable in so many ways!

PROJECT UPDATE: Shanon’s outdoor space is structurally complete! NOW it’s time for My Happy Place to step in and do OUR part! We have another team of volunteers ready to get dirty next weekend to execute the landscaping portion. Then, we furnish and decorate the space in preparation for the SURPRISE reveal on Sunday. You won’t want to miss the updates, reveal photos, and behind the scenes recaps, so make sure you LIKE our page! We can’t wait to show you Mama Bear’s completed dream space!
