The homeowners wanted to have a front door area that stands out and I think their design turned out fantastic! We tore down the porch, poured a basement underneath and tore down the entire wall that connects the old to new! There’s always surprises in the walls of a home from the 1900’s. W**e bottle from the 50’s, hand forged nails and old barn wood that was reused for interior siding at some point. The home now has a grand front entrance, large dining area, new deck, new siding on the entire house and a safe door entrance to their basement!
