You know, becoming an electrician was never part of the original plan. I wanted to be in a metal band, touring the world, making millions, doing ridiculous things, and maybe one day ending up on one of those VH1 “Where are they now?” shows.
But like a lot of us, I was told to have a backup plan… and that plan was electrical work.
Along the way, I even got the opportunity to serve as a firefighter, something I’ll always be proud of, but nothing has shaped my life and success quite like this trade.
Last night, I attended a trade show and had the chance to connect with some incredible people, representing some of the best manufacturers and distributors in the electrical industry. It’s one thing to do the work, but it’s another level entirely to understand the products, how they function, and to build relationships with the people behind them.
What really stands out is the network. The conversations. The ability to spend time with some of the sharpest minds we have here in Massachusetts.
In the photos below are members of the MECA organization, an association I’m proud to be part of as Vice President of the Boston Chapter, and soon to be involved with the Worcester Chapter as well. One of the individuals pictured also serves on the Board of Electrical Examiners, helping oversee and regulate our trade across the state.
To be surrounded by people like this, alongside my partner, Eric Markarian, and many close friends in the industry, is something I don’t take for granted.
This isn’t just a job. It’s a brotherhood, a craft, and a career that’s given me more than I ever expected.
Truly an honor to be where I am today and you can rest knowing that you’re getting the safest and most professional installation of electrical work there is!
