Job Title: Construction Laborer/Carpenter

Location: Typically, within the Counties of Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence, Franklin, Oswego, and Onondaga in New York State

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: Competitive hourly wage starting at $18/hr., depending on experience

D.C. Building Systems, Inc. is a longstanding and trusted Contractor in the construction industry, known for our commitment to safety, quality, and integrity. We are currently seeking reliable and hard-working Construction Laborers and Carpenters to join our growing team for projects across the above-mentioned areas within New York State.

Job Summary:
As a Construction Laborer or Carpenter, you will support skilled trades and contribute to various phases of construction including site preparation, demolition, material handling, and general clean-up. This position requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and adherence to all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
• Load and unload building materials and distribute them to appropriate locations.
• Assist with setting up and tearing down job sites.
• Operate hand and power tools as directed.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Comply with OSHA and New York State Department of Labor safety regulations.

Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior construction or manual labor experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work outdoors in varying weather, and stand for extended periods.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Requirements:
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Compliance with New York State prevailing wage guidelines, where applicable.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening if required.

Pay and Benefits:
• The pay range is $18.00 - $30.00 per hour and is negotiable depending on experience.
